So as i was saying, people ask this question often.
If you are a person of little substance, as about 90% of earth, and you buy into the infinity of popular “coaches”–also people of little substance–and you wonder if it’s possible…
The idea that ANYONE no matter how brain damaged or mentally crippled, can make substantial amounts of money, in ridiculously short time, and they can do it along the side of a full-time job, while spending only a few minutes a day, with little to no money, having no skills, no product, and no website…
Well, the answer to that question, is NO.
and if my answer doesn’t sit well with you, the unsubscribe link is at the end of this email. PLEASE, please, please use it!
If you’re still reading, it might be safe to tell you what i really think.
Certainly, it’s feasible to build the foundations of a small, recurring, monthly income IF you treat affiliate marketing as a business, requiring strategic, long-term thought, rather than a short-term side-hustle.
What always baffled me back in my network marketing days, people would say things like, “i don’t wanna make a lot of money, i just need to make a couple hundred extra bucks a week/month.”
Thinking, if they lowered their ambition, it excuses them from what they imagine is gonna be a lot of hard work, effort, and time required to build a more substantial income.
It takes about as much work to produce a recurring, consistent, regular $1 of business revenue, as it takes to make $100, or $1,000, or $10,000. The difference is in strategy, not in time or effort.
Because revenue is not like wages, where you sell hours for dollars. But rather, you setup an infrastructure, kind of like a machine that takes certain inputs and turns them into outputs–which includes money, as revenue and profit.
For instance, the inputs could be dollars, hours, and know-how that buys attention (ads) and outputs customers, sales, and revenue.
That business machine, though, you have to build it.
A business is an amplifier. It amplifies productivity, it amplifies money, it amplifies skills. and a successful business does so consistently, systematically, regularly.
How well you construct your business machine determines how much revenue comes out of it. It will take some time to build. It will take some money. It will take skills and trial and error.
That’s effort you spend on BUILDING IT–not running it.
However, what you put in will not necessarily be proportional to the level of amplification you get.
You could work non-stop building your business and invest thousands and yet produce ZERO in revenue.
Or you could work very little and invest even less and create a business that produces hundreds of thousands.
Take for instance one of my students–i’ve mentioned him before because he’s a perfect illustration of someone who built a small systematic income from online business.
He has a full-time job at a marketing agency and a part-time job at another marketing agency, and he works on his business, on the side, with resources he can spare.
Keep in mind, his work at marketing agencies is NOT an accident. He’s a civil engineer. He chooses to work at marketing agencies simply to improve and refine skills in traffic management and copywriting. Skills he finds beneficial in his business.
Last year, he put his mind to it, and followed my instructions in the Super Traffic Machine and built himself a business machine.
Over time, and with a small monthly commitment to ad buying, he was able to build a mailing list of 1,500 subscribers. Each month he writes between 2-4 emails to his subscribers offering them the product to buy. And he earns a minimum of 500 dollars each month from product sales.
This is, perhaps, not so impressive a number. But to go from this 500 to 10,000 or 100,000 is so much simpler than either you or he can possibly imagine.
I have clients who make hundreds of thousands in monthly revenue, selling no more than a handful of simple products, doing very little in personal effort. They have ramped up to a point they can hire experts like me to do far more than they could do alone. And their sheer ad buying power enables them to drive the kind of volume that makes such revenue possible.
What is in common between all of these people, big shots or small, is they’ve laid down the infrastructure that turns traffic into sales and revenue. Whether they did it in a day, a week, months, or years is irrelevant. All were serious to be strategic and thoughtful to systematize money-making.
People who take the “side-hustle” approach never create systems, because they’re always half in.
If you’re interested and serious about building an affiliate or internet marketing income, then you should be able to do it alongside a full-time job, without straining your financial resources. As long as you treat what you’re building seriously and dont hide behind excuses to take short-sighted short-cuts to avoid work or necessary investment of money or time.
