Why I don’t Do Marketing Funnels

I was thinking the other day about how i run my marketing and the beauty of its simplicity.

and it’s sorta weird because .. well …

there’s a lot of stuff you’re “supposed” to do to maximise revenue from cold traffic. Like, having multiple products at different price-points which you offer one after the other at checkout.

You also have to start with a low-cost front-end….the cheaper the better.

And if you’re selling a recurring billing product as i do (which is a tough sell), you gotta do some kind of a $1 trial or some other sneaky trick to get a credit card on file and hope you get a couple of months of inadvertent payment before people get around to cancelling.

I know these funel hacking methods work. But i don’t do any of this stuff.

Why?

Because i can’t be arsed. Quite honestly, there’s just not enough hours in the day to do everything i need to do and i can’t think of a more boring way to spend my time than to slice and dice my old products and write sales material and upsell and cross sell pages to convert more people into buyers.

i would have more fun and get better use of my time if i were to slit my wrists with a paperclip.

If you are anything like me and you can’t stand the idea of all this funnel bullshit, lean in.

A simpler, better way is to focus on list building.

List building isn’t just about generating traffic, nor about capture pages and lead generation.

It’s about investing into a relationship with your buyers and potential buyers.

Plenty of gooroo egg-suprts are fond of emphasising to young impressionable students the importance of positioning and authority. Yet, their focus is on its mere appearance instead of its reality.

This is why the excruciating funnel tactics i described earlier are necessary in their business model. Because they have nothing of actual value to offer, no real authority or knowledge. Their only expertise is in identifying fools and helping them part with their money.

If you’re trying to make an honest living online, that’s not the model you want to follow.

Instead, when choosing an area for your online business to specialise in, whether you’re an affiliate marketer, info marketer, or even an network marketer…

Choose an area you’re already an authority in. Something you have knowledge and experience in. it can be anything, anything at all. Don’t limit yourself to the saturated markets of gooroos and goorooness.

This enables you to talk about your topic in DEPTH and at LENGTH.

Which establishes authority, credibility, and trust with your list and leads to them buying your stuff…

You can sell ANYTHING to an audience who trusts you, even things you are not an expert in as long as you’re upfront about it.

And you get to skip all that annoying funnel building nonsense.

Personally, i like my model better.

It’s less work. Less moving parts. Less stuff to go wrong.

I’ve used the exact strategy to sell my own products and services ranging from $10 – $10,000 and it worked well every time.

I used it to sell a network marketing opportunity for $2,500 with a $300/month autoship.

I’ve used it to sell affiliate products for as much as $800.

And i’ve used it to promote joint ventures that ranged from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars.

The method hasn’t failed me yet and i doubt it would fail you either.

You can learn to setup a simple business model for yourself, similar to this, without even creating your own products in the Super Traffic Machine. Your list builds itself around the clock, with minimal maintenance. You spend your time answering customer questions and finding product solutions to your list’s problems.
