i’m not much of a “holiday-man”. Most people turn a holiday into a whole lot of work and effort when it should be a time of rest.
You end up needing a holiday from the holiday, by the time it’s all over.
but holidays are a bit funny if you think about it a little bit.
for example, “Labour Day” is supposed to be a day celebrating LABOUR…by umm.. NOT working? ermm can we say LOL!?
Similarly, Christmas and New Year are commercial holidays. Ok, yes, Christmas is supposed to have a religious significance, but is that really true?
I mean, many people believe that Jesus was not even born on Christmas and if you look at the history of modern day Santa Clause, you’ll find that even though he is based on Saint Nick, many believe Coca Cola were amongst the first companies to popularise his modern day image.
Orthodox Christians celebrate the Birth of Christ on a completely different month…
And Muslims who tell the story of Jesus’ birth as part of their faith even tell of fruit that Mary ate which aren’t in season for this time of year.
So despite the religious significance, Christmas and New Year for business is a time of increased sale activity. And yet, MOST businesses are closed on Christmas Day and New Year.
It’s a little silly that businesses should be closed on ANY holiday.
When regular people have the day off, they like to go out, buy things, do stuff, go out to dinner, etc…
And yet, many businesses are not available to take their money.
Only the businesses that WORK on holidays get to make money.
So it makes me laugh a little at the notion of a “holiday” for businesses.
All the same, i’m no Scrooge. i love religious holidays so i gave my staff the next few weeks off to celebrate with their families.
But while we’re here i wanted to remind you …
You’ve probably spent (and will spend) a whole lot of money over the break – buying gifts, setting up parties, and more.
But there’s only one gift you can buy that will make more money for you in 2012.
And that’s the Done For You Traffic Solution.
It’s the only way a newbie can get a business website setup to sell even over holidays. Just flip a switch, and the traffic begins rolling.
I’ll be working over the Christmas and New Year break. So if you’d like to setup a time to talk about your traffic and business needs, even on the holiest of holidays – i’ll be here. Only if you like, though.
Why?
Because YaghiLabs is an Internet-based business. And it’s open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. While YOU might be on holiday, there are countries for which this time of year is just like any other.
And they expect the convenience of being able to buy now.
Besides, Christmas and New Year are perhaps the highest-selling times of year for the Wealth and Health markets as people start creating their new year resolutions and are most excited about them now…
