It’s not sudden.
You won’t know you’re on the right track until you’ve been on it for a while. So your only hope of reaching profit is to be systematic.
Here’s what i mean…
I can’t use my peepee to…err…pee. After surgeons removed my cancerous bladder, they rerouted urine out of a hole (stoma) in my tummy. To collect wee, i stick a disposable pouch to my skin, over the hole.
That’s my new normal.
While learning to change the stoma pouch at the hospital, it came off and leaked, every night. It was important i figure it out before going home, or it was gonna get embarrassing.
The first night, i tried changing the type of bag. But that didn’t work.
The next night, i tried cutting the stoma hole smaller. It leaked.
The night after that, i tried cutting the stoma hole bigger. It leaked.
I tested lots of things, one at a time. But still, every night, it leaked.
On my second to last night, while changing the pouch, i thought to shave there…maybe it holds better.
The next morning, an annoyed nurse asked the doctor to tell me to connect a night bag to the pouch when i sleep. I didn’t like being tied to one side of the bed with a tube…it made sleeping hard. And I read that a night bag isn’t needed as long as i wake up on a schedule to empty….
But when the doctor told me to use a night bag, i had no choice but to listen.
Thankfully, I have not leaked since. Unfortunately, until this day, i don’t know which change was responsible.
It’s two months later, and i still do both–shave between changes AND sleep restlessly tied to a night bag.
But hey, that’s the kind of systematicness you need to win at business.
You can’t pick up random “tricks” from here and there and hope for the best…you hear some gooroo said such-n-such increased his conversion by 500%, so you try it…
… but 500% of 0 is still ZERO my friend.
Besides, throwing up random tricks all at once won’t do much good. If something gets going, you’ll not know which trick caused it. You’d wanna know this so you can repeat and amplify ONLY the ideas that work.
When i was figuring out the cursed stoma bag, I changed one thing at a time and in the process, i eliminated the ideas that didn’t help.
Being a scientist though, when i eventually got the leaking to stop, i had to keep doing more of what worked…both changes…forever!
Similarly, you’re trying to figure out profit and scale for your online business. When something works, you won’t hear choir music and see angels descend from the sky…
It’s always something small like a slight, yet consistent uptick in clicks or subscribers. It’s important to recognise small success, so you can build on it.
Over the past two decades, there’s scores of ideas i’ve tried…each giving a tiny improvement. Over time, though, they turned into huge moneymakers. From new landing page types i innovated, email and sales page formulas, headline tricks, ad techniques, to campaign settings.
Knowing exactly what i changed last meant, when things worked, i knew what to do more of…
…and when they did not work, i knew what not to waste money and time on.
That’s how you build big, big results. In small increments.
And those ideas and processes that worked, which i refined and rinsed and repeated and amplified…i pass them onto you in the Super Traffic Machine as a COMPLETE system.
