YouTube’s been recommending Eminem content to me lately. i’ve never been a fan of his music, but i have a newly found respect for the man’s work ethic.
in an interview with Anderson Cooper, Eminem pulls out a huge box full of handwritten notes filled with rhyming ideas.
Eminem has a system where he’d write out 3 columns: in the first column is a list of words that rhyme perfectly, in the second is words he could rhyme by pronouncing a certain way, and in the third, he writes lyric combinations.
his friends, in interviews, said he’d always be writing–on his hand, on little bits of paper, anywhere, all the time.
and from a young age, he’d just spend hours READING the dictionary!
Eminem calls this “stacking ammo”.
i teach something similar in the Super Traffic Machine for writing copy.
see, nobody can be truly creative on demand. creativity is spontaneous. and if you try to force it, you end up with junk.
so instead, i teach my students a system to make notes of their inspired idea when they have them. then they have plenty of ammo when they sit to write their sales and marketing material.
i teach all kinds of writing skills in the Super Traffic Machine in a way you can’t learn anywhere else. all the copywriting training i’ve ever seen focuses on headline techniques, templates, and swipes. nobody else takes a beginner who’s never written anything before and shows them how to communicate their ideas effectively and systematically…in a way that’s exciting and entices people to buy.
i make it a mechanical process in the Super Traffic Machine to go from your idea to fully fleshed out, exciting writing.
meaning, you get to follow clear, simple, step by step instructions to write. no airy-fairy, wishy-washy hand-gesturing and pointing.
the training is so practical that many of my students have shared flawless sales presentations they wrote.
and it was their first time writing anything so long or so compelling in their lives. to the extent their spouses sometimes didn’t even believe they wrote the piece!
these instructions are scattered throughout the different manuals when you need to write headlines, ads, emails, subject lines, presales material, and even your own products.
and if you want to create your own books? i get into much more depth in this month’s extra, Authority Shipping & Handling (aka Authority S&H), which comes out January 8th.
i show you how to plan your writing from scratch and how to flesh it out so you can write a whole book…or several if you like…that you can sell for a lot of money. complete with cover, artwork, printing, shipping, and fulfilment.
you can get Authority S&H for free ONLY with a Super Traffic Machine subscription until January 8th.
read all about Authority S&H on the special page i wrote for you below:
remember, if you’re a past Super Traffic Machine subscriber and want Authority S&H free, you’re welcome to rejoin as long as you satisfy the conditions at the link above.
