Are you trying to promote a business opportunity on the web?
There’s a couple of silly rumours going on among distributors
of the bizop market.
In this newsletter issue, we’re gonna dispel them once and
for all…and take a look at examples of a couple of good bizop websites that are
totally getting quality leads from Google without problems.
First, the (incorrect) rumours:
1. Google doesn’t allow anyone to advertise
and, 2. You’re not
allowed to drive traffic to a lead capture page that collects phone leads you
If either of these were true, how come when you run a Google
search for “Home Business”, plenty of ads turn up …with lead collection forms on
the landing page?
Here’s two landing pages from a search I ran today: http://travel-planners-intl.com/ and http://pure-ecommerce.com/
Btw, I’m not affiliated with either and do not endorse them.
So why do so many people believe these rumours?
I think, the most common reason is they don’t bother to read
through the actual Editorial Guidelines to properly understand them (and ask
questions)…before actually placing an ad.
Which is why I took the liberty of summarizing a couple relevant
policies from Google, Bing, and Facebook’s editorial guidelines for you.
All 3 major ad networks agree on these unacceptable business
1. Get R$ch Quick schemes
and, 2. Data collection websites
A business opportunity is NOT inherently a get-r$ch quick
People start businesses all the time with the goal of
generating an income, becoming financially independent, creating their own job,
seeing some grand idea come to fruition…or even to get rich.
Nothing wrong with any of that.
The issue is with the words “quick” and “scheme”.
Any fool can turn a legitimate business opportunity into a “get
r$ch quick scheme”.
All it takes is to over-promise and under-deliver.
Anyone who’s spent time getting their training from Internet
Marketers has their mind corrupted into vomiting out scammy, hypey, dishonest
language … because it converts better.
But you don’t have to frame your offer this way.
Instead of describing benefits in your ads and website,
Features are BORING, I know. But they’re facts (ie, truths).
Benefits will sell better, but if you don’t know how to
write them without breaking policy, don’t.
The second policy relates to “data collection websites”.
Data collection websites are sites that have no APPARENT
purpose other than to collect personal information such as email, phone number,
And this is typical of one-page websites.
Also, this is easily solved.
Create a products page at your site and either describe the nature/category
of the products you sell…or list them by name with links to buy.
If you follow this advice, you’ve just created some problems
for yourself. Since your ads are boring, they won’t get clicked as much…and
since your landing page has links and extra words, it’s likely to convert less.
Meaning you won’t get as much traffic…and your leads will
cost a lot.
But not if you use Traffic KickStart.
This is the only PPC method that doesn’t give a rat’s arse
We have a better way to get plenty of traffic that’s a lot
And this PPC method makes Google get you leads (automatically)
at the price you want.
You can use boring, feature-describing ads and landing page
…send traffic to friggin blog-rolls with full on site
navigation (not encouraged, but you can if you want)…
…collect leads using long multi-field forms so you can qualify
the leads before you call them…
And the Traffic KickStart method maximizes conversion and
drops lead costs while advertising websites Google would never dream of
