A few months
ago, I installed a pull-up bar in the bedroom doorway.
Not to do
pull-ups, mind you. It was explicitly for stretching.
can’t tell you how much I hate any kind of physical exercise. The thought of
going to a gym depresses my life.
Anyway, recently i actually added several pull-ups to my daily routine….but i think i might have overdone it.
My shoulder was killing me so i didn’t do any “marketing” work…
Instead i spent the day memorising a couple of pages of a language i can barely read…
Aya tested me. I did good.
So i said, “Hey, at least if I’m not going to train
my other muscles, I should build up this one,” as I pointed to my head.
most important of all.”
Did I always
have an allergy to exercise?
Yes…but also No.
See, when I
was a kid, I was a runner. My thing was the 300 meter sprint (most of my
training I got running from bullies)
…but I was
also crazy good at long distance, “cross country” running.

But I was
damn good at it.

a full sprint…
And NEVER stop
running until i’m finished.
Now this is
probably the WORST advice you can give a cross-country runner. It’s a sure way
to burn yourself out at the start of the race and end up in stitches.
pace yourself, yah?
I knew that…and
I almost ALWAYS regretted sprinting in the beginning. But it was already done…and
the only advantage I had over everyone else was my head-start…so I knew the
only thing to do was to maintain it.
could barely breathe…
legs were burning under me…
When my chest wheezed
and my heart pounded in my head…
When everything inside was saying, “Please stop. Rest. Walk. Lay in the grass and take a
Even if my
run turned into a little “dribble”, slower than a walk, I KEPT running.

they saw a teacher at a watch-point… playing in between or taking a detour to
But not me.
It didn’t matter to me if there were 100 other kids in front of me…or 100 behind me. In that race, the only person I was racing was ME.
As long as I was always moving, I was winning.
the point of this story?
One idea really…
out in the real world of business…there’s no teacher’s to supervise your run.
No one to
give you marks and tell you what you did right and wrong.
ribbons and awards…
None of that
just you, in a race with yourself.
And if you
don’t move forward, every day, you’re losing.
around me at this industry of “wannabes”–people who WANT to be fincially free…people
who want to be their own boss…people who want to be good at marketing, at
sales, at traffic…
But I keep
seeing the SAME faces, day in and day out…
on the SAME topic…
Still stuck on the same challenges…
taking a leisurely stroll through their life, and LOSING.
though that means there’s plenty of money to be made in teaching this stuff…it
still makes me sad for you.
Because I can
give you life-changing secrets about traffic…I can teach you specific marketing
but I can’t make you RUN the race of your life, if you don’t want to run.
KickStart training is how to be first off the start-line…how to start traffic with a giant sprint…
But if you
want me to yell out, RUN!
Tell you that
you’re close to the finish-line…
meaningless unless you’re running the race.
On the other hand, if you are running a race and want to WIN, then come learn the Traffic KickStart
