This is how affiliates ruin it for everyone

when i first moved to Germany, i ended up in a crappy town called Leipzig.

there’s only one street with any life past 8 o clock. and it’s filled with kebab shops that look just the same and have the same menu items. if you eat at one, you’ve eaten at them all.

while exploring this street, i saw the funniest thing: two kebab shops side by side.

i wish i could get into the head of the idiot who thought this was a good idea. did he stand outside the first kebab shop, look up and down the street, and go, “You know what this street needs RIGHT here? another fugin kebab shop!”

what would possess someone to make such a dumbass business decision?

as the months turned into years for me, i came to learn that a shop would close down and reopen under new ownership every so often. for example, one kebab shop had four re-openings that i’m aware of in a single year.

clearly, nobody is doing very well.

in affiliate marketing, i see this all the time; a bunch of affiliates ALL promoting the same product, with the same marketing materials, to the same market, in precisely the same way.

no one thinks there’s anything wrong with it. and the shady sellers of affiliate systems shamelessly pitch newbies on buying into their replicated systems knowing fully well this cannot work.

which is why most affiliates end up losing money. they spend their money on systems instead of on real online business education.

here’s what nobody is telling you…

the biggest enemy of business is to be in a saturated marketplace with no way to set yourself apart from the competition.

there’s no reason for a customer to buy from one kebab shop over another if all offer the same food, use the same supplier, and sell at the same price.

and in Leipzig, the population is not very big. even fewer are the people in the centre keen to eat kebab.

consider what happens when yet another kebab shop opens up.

whatever little business to be had is divided thinner.

you’re doing the same thing in affiliate marketing when you buy into a marketing “system”.

everyone’s using the same marketing materials to promote the same products at the same price to the same people. there’s nothing to set you apart. and you’re slicing down whatever market there is into smaller pieces. so you’re ensuring not only that YOU don’t do well…but that nobody else can!

is there a solution?

is there a way to benefit from affiliate products so you don’t have to create your own but still stand out and easily find buyers?

of course!

it’s how the super affiliates you see in the system testimonials do it. they don’t use “the system”. they make their own.

see, you can’t make an affiliate product unique directly. but if you offer it to a new audience, that product automatically becomes unique.

for example, one of our Super Traffic Machine students wanted to promote a dating product.

he targeted stutterers rather than single men, men researching pick up art, men on dating sites, etc.

why stutterers?

because he already has an audience of people looking for a solution to stuttering.

and while the first product he offers them is a relevant “how to stop stuttering” course, he follows this up naturally with a dating product.

the dating product is a generic one; it’s not unique. however, our student frames it as recommended reading for stutterers. he also adds a simple “product glue” (i teach you to make this), and suddenly he has a “dating product for stutters” without creating a product at all.

now he’s not paying ridiculous costs for traffic or fighting for the first page on Google in the dating niche.

and he’s able to sell ALL manners of products to this stuttering audience:

…how to write a CV, for stutters

…how to get a job, for stutters

…how to do public speaking, for stutters

and so on.

when his audience sees these offers, they’re not considering any other product nor any other affiliate. just him. his audience is entirely his.

you can do this too. and there are lots of ways to leverage the hard work of others in building products while still standing out.

but you have to know with certainty that being part of someone else’s system is NEVER a good thing. the words “replicated”, “easy”, “turn-key”, “done-for-you” systems will NEVER work for you or anyone else.

you NEED your own system if you’re going to succeed with an online business.
