See what I mean…
THIS is exactly what’s wrong with affiliates!
Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE them…affiliates are our homies and best customers for our consultation and support services. That’s why I try really hard to help them see the light in my brutally harsh, and occasionally insulting emails.
Remember a few days ago, I told you about how we got approved to put the YaghiLabs Internet Business Academy in the Clickbank Marketplace?
(you can search for “yaghilabs” if you’d like to make 75% recurring commissions from promoting them).
Well, no sooner did we get listed, I started getting Google Alerts about websites popping up all over the net back-linking to our website.
What a cool and simple way to get hundreds of backlinks from affiliates to your website! haha. No, not really 🙂
But what I thought was silly is how these misguided affiliates were promoting…it’s what separates the Gooroo Fanboys from the real business people.
One dumbass copied the Landing Page exactly as is, but changed the autoresponder code so the leads go into his/her mailing list. This is dumb, the sales don’t come from people seeing the sales page NOR from seeing our landing page.
Seriously!
They come from the daily emails written to the leads you send into the landing page, over months of follow-up.
Another moron created a fake and very general sounding review, which although was very long and positive, clearly indicated that it was automatically generated from a template, and the affiliate had never even been through the product.
More fools wasted their time copying the promotional copy to their blogs and videos with links back to their Clickbank affiliate link.
None of these lazyass tactics will bring sales. Except by some freak accident. And that’s not very smart.
When affiliates do these idiotic tricks taught to them by the various Gooroos, they merely give more authority to the vendor’s website, send traffic to them for free, and get nothing in return.
A smart affiliate, on the other hand, is a VALUE-ADDED affiliate who builds up their own asset before sending traffic into affiliate offers.
According to Ben Settle, email specialist and conversion expert, you should NEVER put an affiliate offer as your primary offer.
Affiliate offers should always be a back-end, backup monetisation strategy.
Your primary efforts should be placed into YOUR OWN asset.
Like your blog, for example.
Rather than just creating a shallow affiliate blog keyword stuffed with internet garbage, promoting one vendor’s product, use the Entertainment Business Model (described in the Internet Business Academy in detail).
This model allows you to build up your own audience that represents a large group only you can attract. They tune into your blog regularly to hear from YOU.
You can then monetize your blog by placing banners, badges, and the occasional links and recommendations to SEVERAL affiliate products you promote that might be of interest to your own unique audience.
You get multiple sources of income, and you hold onto the leads you worked hard to generate.
Much smarter!
The Done-For-You Traffic Consultation is perfect for affiliates.
We actually help you find a large audience of your own that you can sell a NUMBER of affiliate products to…not only that, but you can sell advertising space and list-rental and get JVs for a lot of money and get guaranteed monthly passive income instead of POTENTIAL affiliate income.
