In my last email to you i mentioned i need help with writing this newsletter on a schedule. I also said i would give more details later.
Later has arrived!
If you think you can write and you’re interested in an opportunity to work closely with me, read the following details carefully…
I am looking for four people to INVEST money and time into. People who will help me out by writing newsletter emails for me. The chosen candidates will be trained for THREE MONTHS by me in a GRUELING internship program and they will each receive a small monthly stipend ($) in exchange for their commitment.
The commitment is to produce 15 emails per month, which equates to approximately 2 hours of focused, dedicated, daily work.
I do NOT promise it will just be two hours during the training period.
It may be more.
But here’s why you’re going to give me what i ask.
The fact i am prepared to pay you while you train is merely a courtesy to get your commitment. The reality is you should be paying me. I have current clients who spend as much as several thousand dollars every month for the privilege of being able to get me on the phone any time of day or night for some advice. You get that from me free, and i pay you. What i expect in return is GRATITUDE, not entitlement.
What you learn on the job, that stays with you, long after your internship ends.
Also, to be completely candid, no matter how high your opinion of your writing is, it’s not worth a single cent to me until your writing reflects MY ideas. Even if your style makes many sales and much revenue. And that’s not likely to happen until you’ve been properly trained and you’re conveying my ideas how i want.
So don’t be shocked that i will expect you to tell your spouse and kids to fuck off if they bother you before you’ve completed an idea we discussed.
The nature of writing depends on focus and momentum. Once you’re in the zone, you have to write until you’re done. And if we’ve just finished discussing an idea and we get off our call, the LAST thing i want you to do is to put off implementing what we talked about until “tomorrow” or “later”. Because, you see, what happens is, you end up retaining just the summary…and you miss all the nuance. Then whenever you do get around to completing the work, you will give me rubbish. This makes you look like a dumbass, lazy student who’s too dumb to follow instructions. Then i have to repeat myself. This is frustrating and wastes both our time.
After the internship, there will be two paths to move forward
(1) employment (as a writer)
or (2) business (freelance copywriting / writing, agency).
If you choose employment, you will be transitioned into a permanent writing position with YaghiLabs, at a salary we agree upon. If your ambitions are in business, YaghiLabs will be your client and i will retain you on contract at a rate we agree upon also. Furthermore, i will continue to help you build and scale your writing business using our systems and assets, if you are interested.
If you are already a freelance copywriter, you will probably find great value in our methodology. But it’s your prerogative if you like to adopt it to scale your business or not.
The ideal candidate is HUNGRY and has some writing experience. Your writing experience does not have to be marketing related.
In fact, if you have classical training in writing–meaning, you’re a great writer but not a copywriter, i REALLY want to hear from you. There are two types of roles here, one of which requires properly trained WRITERS…as opposed to self-trained copywriters (also valuable and of interest for their persuasion skills, but sorry to say, most of you can’t write worth a shit).
If you have business ambitions OR are interested in the copywriting (not writing) role, you will almost certainly need (1) some business experience and (2) to have been through some, or all of, the Super Traffic Machine.
I require (1) because i don’t think you can communicate how to build a business if you have never attempted to build one. And i require (2) because all the formal training on how to sell with writing the Yaghi way is taught there. Additionally, you’re going to help me market this product, so you may wanna intimately know what you’re selling. Therefore, if you haven’t got the Super Traffic Machine yet, get it, THEN apply to increase your chance of being selected. Don’t tell me you want a copywriting role without having made the effort to get Super Traffic Machine. Otherwise, you’re demonstrating you’re clearly not hungry enough.
That’s all the details i have for now. If you are interested, apply at the link below…
Finally, even if you are unsuccessful on this round, don’t fret. I will be recruiting periodically for the same or similar roles moving forward. Applying in earnest now gives you priority on subsequent rounds, particularly if you strengthen your application in between.
