No wonder I ended up
in hospital the other day.
I spend half my time
trying to convince clients who hire me for my expertise…why they should
listen to me!
One of the most recent
problems which keeps coming up is people whining about their keywords,
ads, and landing page copy not exactly describing what they sell.
Sound reasonable?
It’s not.
Look, when you have a nobody
business, all your potential customers belong to someone else. No one knows
about you, they’re buying from your competition.
Go check a search
keyword tool and see how many times your business, your name, or your brand are searched
for online.
If you don’t even turn
up, then everyone you want to reach is searching for someone else.
Now it’s your job to identify
the group of people who are most likely to be swayed to buy your stuff…and then
sway them.
But before you can
even begin the “swaying” process, you have to first attract them.
Let me give you an
example…
When I advertise
YaghiLabs, I look for groups of people who want traffic.
I do this fully
knowing that most of the people searching for it are interested in LEARNING free
traffic, social media, article marketing, and SEO, so they can do it themselves.
I sell none of these
things.
I sell PPC, the one thing no one is looking for.
More…
People want training
and tools to “Do It Yourself”–yet I sell a service called “Done For You”.
But even more crucial
than that, my whole philosophy is that traffic is the most MEANINGLESS thing my
clients should pursue. And even though I actively sell that service and
deliver it very well, my solution ALSO gives them what I believe to be the
missing part in their business.
Conversion, Product, and Website.
I know that people
searching for free traffic have these problems:
– PRODUCT PROBLEM: They want people at their
site, but have no way to turn the traffic into money, so they need traffic
to be free.
– CONVERSION PROBLEM: They have something to
sell, but it doesn’t sell often enough to get a Return on Investment, so they
need the traffic to cost next to nothing in order to profit.
– WEBSITE
PROBLEM: They have an affiliate product to sell and they just want to drive
traffic into their affiliate link. Almost all good
sources of traffic will not allow them to run traffic directly into an
affiliate link.
These are the real
problems.
But it would be silly
of me to target people searching for:
“PPC setup service
that helps me also have a product”.
Because like hardly (NO
BODY) is searching for that.
And it would be silly
to write an ad to someone searching for “ppc service” saying, “We’ll setup your
website and show you how to sell more stuff.”
Instead, I find people
looking for traffic (free and paid, training, tools, and services) and offer to
help them with all those things through my mailing list.
The mailing list is
the transitionator.
The educator.
The swayer.
When they’re on the mailing
list, I proceed to show them how their problem is actually a conversion,
website, or product problem…and why using the YaghiLabs Done-For-You Traffic
service is a better solution for them.
And it IS the better
way.
Because chances are if
you’re desperately seeking traffic, then you have either a product, website, or
conversion problem.

business, be patient. You’ll have your chance to pitch and describe those
