Jim's Pied Piper Fairytale

The original story
goes something like this:
In 1284,
the town of Hamelin in Germany was suffering a rat infestation. A man claiming to
be a rat catcher turned up and offered the Mayor a solution.
The Mayor
in turn agreed to pay him for the service.
rat-catcher accepted. Pulled out a musical pipe, played a tune, and lured the
rats out of the town into the Weser River, where they drowned.
The Mayor,
despite his promise, refused to pay the rat-catcher who became angry and left
the town.
Returned on Saint John & Saint Paul’s day, while the whole town
was in church, and played a different tune.
This time, he
lured 130 children out of the town, never to be seen again.
So what…It’s a
story of revenge?
The fairytale is based on some real and somewhat fugked up events that actually happened in Hamelin…where
an entire town’s children were raped and murdered.
But I digress.
How is this
story relevant to you?
Depends how
you read into it.
It could
be, as the English proverb goes, “He who pays the piper calls the tune”–people
prepared to spend their money can exert a great amount of influence.
Or it could
be this…
internet has nurtured a culture of people who want the very effective services of
the “Piper” without payin his price.
enjoy using Facebook…but everyone complains about their ads.
Everyone watches
television…but everyone wants to skip the commercial breaks.
people are always trying to get something for nothing. Without even thinking
for a moment that if the “Piper” gets nothing, he has no motivation or reason
to do the job in the first place.
And one way
or the other, he will get paid.
But me?
I think it’s
a lesson in Internet traffic generation.
Most website
owners are clueless when it comes to advertising.
They want cheap,
free traffic…and end up advertising in the sewers of the internet.
Do you think you’ll find real customers willing to spend money there?
And if you advertise
with trashy sales messages, the kind that attract idiots and opportunists, you’re
going to get idiots and opportunists.
In other
words, if you call the wrong tune, all you’ll attract is rats.
For more
than 7 years, I’ve been generating traffic online and helping website owners do
the same. I’ve seen countless examples of people doing it wrong.
From big businesses to little no-businesses.
And I created the
KickStart training to show people how to get GOOD traffic…
Quality customers…
people prepared to spend money on a real solution to their problems.
I show you
guys how to create legitimate value that goes beyond peddling someone else’s
crap, and regurgitating their ugly sales tunes…
And despite
my effort, I see people who’ve taken all my training, who still refuse to follow.
They’re still trying to find ways around doing it right. Still pushing some borderline,
scammy-sounding, hype filled pitch.
Them, I can’t
help or stop.
But maybe, there’s hope for you yet.
It’s no
secret, I don’t think any free traffic is good. But if you’re prepared to “pay
the piper”, I’ll show you how you can get quality traffic for cheap…even show
you how to make the traffic PAY you…
So it
becomes effectively free.
