Is my offer too “niche” for PPC?

A subscriber asks…

“So I have this offer which sells ready-made lead gen videos, website, emails and some basic training to consultants in the reputation management space. Obviously that’s a very niche offer and a narrow market – So my question is, would this be too niche for something like PPC?”

                  — Nick

Thanks for the question, bro. So that’s B2B…2B. Hot dog, is that ever specialised!

Are YOU in a market you suspect could be a bit too “niche” to be viable for Pay Per Click ads?

If few people are searching for your solution, then your best bet is to advertise to the NEAREST thing they are searching for.

Here’s what i mean…

In your fellow subscriber’s case, reputation management is a REAL problem that many business owners must deal with as a matter of survival. (think restaurants for example). It’s likely there are consultants who service this market.

The challenge, in selling to these consultants, however, is in identifying them using the targeting tools available in Google Ads.

Which turns out to be pretty simple, if you’re as experienced as i.

Most advertisers, when they do targeting in Google Ads, they think of keywords and audiences only. They think this is the full extent of the filtering tools available to them in the Google Ads platform.

But there’s one more…the Ad copy itself!

See, i think of traditional audience selectors only as a first level COARSE filter.

In fact, i rarely get super targeted in my audience selection. But the ad copy is how i apply a fine filter. Because ultimately, i want my ads to get LOTS of impressions (they’re freeeeee!) and only the very best of clicks (since i’m paying for clicks!)

If you think of ads as a fine filter, you too will realise you can find an audience for any product, no matter how niche.

Here’s how Nick can apply this idea in his business…

Consultants in the reputation management space, are dealing with the same problems any consultant has–e.g., getting clients for their services.

So select your audience on the basis of b2b lead generation keywords…and then show specialised ads about reputation management templates, tools, and solutions. Presumably only those in the business of reputation management would click your ads. Then let Google optimise who should see your ad based on the subset of people who do click it. Instead of you doing their work for them.

Voila! There, you’ve caught your “niche” audience.

This is one of the many differentiators of the Super Traffic Machine. (It is head and shoulders better than any other traffic generation course ever produced).

We don’t just show you how to setup campaigns, create ad groups, and find keywords. This technical stuff is available in the Google Ads documentation for free. You don’t need a course for that.

Rather, we teach you how to REASON about your audience, their problems, and your solutions. We show you how to position your offer so that it’s relatable to your human customer. You do what humans do best…communicate with other humans. Meanwhile, you leverage the “artificial intelligence” of ad platforms and teach them to SCOUT the digital landscape finding hot leads for your business, even if your business is as narrow as shipping your enemies glitter 😉
