I think the chemo fixed my eyes

since i was 17, i’ve known that i needed glasses.

but i got some miraculous news that got me thinking about YOUR business and how you can get one in two people who visit your website (~50%) to become sales lead for your business…

…whether you sell your own products or you’re an affiliate marketer.

while i’ve had several eye tests and prescriptions over the years, i’ve never really worn glasses.

i found my last frames in a drawer, broken, with a single arm some time ago. then today, while out with Aya, she convinced me to pop into the place that did her glasses and get a new pair.

when we arrived, i was impressed with its size and how professionally it was managed. the German staff were FRIENDLY and they spoke to us in perfect English when they directed us to the eye testing area.

when she arrived, the doctor asked if i wear glasses. i told her i was supposed to, but they were broken.

she invited me to sit at the testing machine while she steralised everything. i pulled my face close to peer into the lenses and placed my chin on the rest. inside, i saw a picture of a colourful balloon that quickly became sharp and blurry.

soon the machine spit out a slip of paper, which the doctor briefly glanced at before saying, “Your vision is good, you don’t need glasses.”

“HUH!?” my wife and i stared at her in disbelief. “Are you sure?”

“we can do a different test, if you like,” she replied.

i agreed.

she took me into a room with another machine. she closed the door. and she explained to me that i will see some open circles. i needed to tell her the direction of the opening on each.

when the test began, i swear i couldn’t tell what i was looking at. everything was blurry. i kept rubbing my eyes and repositioning myself to get a better view.

but as i gave each response, she encouraged me with, “that’s right. good. yes. aha. good job.”

to my dismay, when the test was over, the doctor confirmed my vision was normal and i did NOT need glasses! wtf!

now it is possible that the chemotherapy i did for my bladder cancer forced the bad cells in my eyes to regenerate and inadvertantly fixed my vision…

but there’s another, more plausible explanation similar to how modern online advertising is done.

networks like Google, Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat use machine learning to predict when a placement they give you will result in a positive outcome. if they can deliver good results to you, like a lead or a sale, you’ll want to spend more money advertising with them.

you don’t even need to know how to write good ads because most of the work is really about matching the ad to the perfect someone.

and ad networks are getting frighteningly good at predicting when showing your ad will result in a response you want. so good in fact, they only need some simple guidance.

the way ad networks learn to predict so well is with REINFORCEMENT LEARNING.

this is similar to how a child or a smart pet learns. you reward a good behaviour with a treat or praise. in turn, they enjoy the reward, and repeat the behaviour to repeat the reward. conversely, if they do something wrong, you give negative feedback like a punishment or a sharp word. they don’t enjoy this and avoid the behaviour in future.

so a more plausible explanation for what happened at the eye doctor’s is this…

when i took a best guess at a blur and the doctor told me it was correct, my brain used that blur to figure out the position of the opening on subsequent blurs.

similarly, using positive and negative signals, your ad network of choice improves its understanding of your business goals and how it should go about finding you traffic that converts into sales leads and buyers who don’t mind giving you money.

that is the topic of this month’s bonus training, Super-Charged Conversions.

you’ll see how to train your ad network to bring you better leads, more sales, and customers that spend more…all with less waste, and wayyyy less work.

but if you’re interested in getting this bonus for free, you’re going to need to need to hurry and subscribe to the Super Traffic Machine before the October 31st deadline.

you can read more about the Super Traffic Machine at the detailed page i’ve linked below…

Good luck!
