Why am i suddenly talking about phone apps instead of MARKETING!?
Until a few weeks ago, i was emailing about a new course we’re releasing called DIY Super Traffic Machine. but suddenly i switched gears and went all technical on yawl.
haha don’t stress.
if you’ve been anticipating the DIY Super Traffic Machine and impatiently waiting, don’t worry it’s still coming.
but i owe you an explanation.
the past few months have been tough on me health-wise. thank you to all who wrote in with advice on how i can feel better; you guys are amazing.
truth is, i burned myself out.
for most of last year, i was promoting a traffic service package – which started out as just a “let me send you traffic” type of thing…but quickly turned into a far more involving job.
we had people with major holes in their sales funnels buying the traffic service when they were in no way prepared to handle the volumes of traffic we were about to send them.
i could not, in good conscience, merely deliver on my promise of traffic and ignore the fact that their funnels would not be able to convert it to sales.
although i tried my best to correct their holes before sending traffic, a part of the burden had to rest on the business owner’s shoulders. i could only do so much by patching up their sales funnel, but someone had to ongoingly follow-up with prospects and work on converting them.
while we got plenty of traffic for clients, many were still unhappy.
then again, they were twiddling their thumbs and expecting sales to fall into their laps. they thought if they got traffic, it would somehow convert to sales on its own.
most of them would go for months without sending a single follow-up email or blog post.
reality is, they weren’t prepared to outsource traffic. that’s a fact.
we continually battled with this and took on arbitrary work-loads and hired more staff while retaining the same price just so we could fix people’s funnels….instead of doing TRAFFIC which is my passion and love.
I attempted to educate prospects before buying so they would only purchase the service when their sales funnel was ready for traffic, to no avail.
People who had no business buying our traffic service were still buying it and we couldn’t stop them, not even by turning them down and refunding their money – which many adamantly refused!
finally, i came up with the idea of the DIY Super Traffic Machine to educate you guys on a crucial piece of the marketing puzzle most of you are missing:
initially, it was going to be a very simple, low-priced product.
however, as i put down the plan, it became clear it would need to be a mammoth project.
i imposed a deadline for myself to complete the course. and soon began writing.
unfortunately, while i initially pumped out a bulk of the product in only a few days of very hard and dedicated work, it took its toll on my back.
the pains quickly worsened as i continued to push for the deadline.
soon the back pain turned into back AND neck-pain…and the neck pain led to ridiculous headaches that would confine me to bed for a week at a time. i could only fulfil existing obligations to customers and could take on nothing new.
Even then, sitting down for 2 hour webinars or consultations put me in bed for days at a time.
The deadline for DIY Super Traffic Machine became less and less feasible and my writing continued slowing down along with my declining health.
imagine, it took me only 3 days to produce the first 100-some page manual. But now, i’m 41 pages into the fifth manuals which i’ve been working on for over a month now.
so i decided to do something else in the meantime for my subscribers as to have something interesting to email you about every day.
i love to send out these daily broadcasts. they’re fun and you guys love them. and they’re easy on my back.
but there’s no point sending them out if i have nothing to sell at the end :).
i am, after all, running a business – not a non-profit entertainment newsletter.
And that’s why you’re hearing about Mobile Apps right now – it’s part of an experiment that gets me a little time to recover and finish up the DIY Super Traffic Machine product.
please forgive me for the delay in releasing the DIY Super Traffic Machine.
if you’re looking forward to it, don’t worry, it’s still coming.
but perhaps while you wait to fix the holes in your sales funnel, maybe you TOO should take a little breather to refresh yourself a little.
i know many of you are sleeping very little as you come home from work and stay up into the wee hours of the morning working on your home business.
this stuff takes its toll on you. heed my warning.
