Do you ever think…
“Who should I take traffic advice from?”
Seems like everyone is an expert and everyone says the other
guys are wrong. How can you tell which one is telling the truth?
Today, I got a promo email from a popular shopping cart service offering
me a “free PPC Evaluation” from their “experts”.
Curious, I wanted to see if this was some formidable
competitor…or just another poser.
Here’s what they offered to do:
* Review your
Click Thru Rate (CTR)
* Evaluate your
Cost Per Click (CPC)
* Recommend
additional keywords to target
* Research your
top competitors and their marketing efforts
LOL.
Amateurs.
Look, anyone who offers a traffic service and tells you they’ll
do something about your “clicks”…
RUN!
Particularly with PPC (spelled PAY per CLICK). The clicks
cost money. So the last thing you want is MORE clicks.
HUH? Isn’t the whole purpose of getting traffic to get
CLICKS?
No. The goal is to get BUYERS.
Unfortunately, you have to buy the clicks and then find the
buyers inside them. But still, your focus should never be about getting a “lower
CPC” or a “higher CTR”.
There’s not really a whole lot of skill involved in getting either:
Get a bigger ad budget, and you can have a lot more clicks.
Even with crappy ads.
Add more keywords and you can get a lower Cost Per Click. We
used to get 100,000 keywords for our clients in a single hour and we’d get crazy
low CPC’s.
That’s not where the skill’s at.
It’s in knowing how to pay ONLY for clicks from buyers. (it’s why our mailing list converts subscribers into buyers at 30%+)
We use Traffic KickStart. And this method comes down to four components:
1) Using campaign
settings that occupy as much of the ad network’s available realestate,
2) Targeting searchers
in a way that lets your ads be seen every time your target buyer searches (no
matter what they’re searching for)
3) Writing ads
that verify the person clicking as a potential buyer BEFORE you pay for them
and, 4) Creating an inviting landing page that turns as many
of the clicks (that you would have paid for) into sales leads
There’s one last component…
It’s not officially part of
the KickStart Method because it’s not traffic related…but still very important.
It’s SELLING to the leads using good email follow-up.
And we haven’t left out the step! To teach you to sell by email, i published a nice bonus video in KickStart showing an effective and easy-to-learn email method you’ll find rather intriguing.
Once the traffic is on, you only need to look at two numbers:
* total cost to generate a sale
* revenue
generated from the sale
That’s it. Ignore everything else.
If you subtract one from the other and you see profit then you simply scale the traffic UP.
If you spend more than you make, find the difference and add a second product to your sales funnel that makes up the difference.
= PROFIT.
Pretty simple, right?
That’s all KickStart is. It’s easy, fun, and focused on
profit.
