A story for you…
Jordan has a lot of idiot businesspeople. The entrepreneur here is OFTEN uneducated, and is all about scamming their next buck from unsuspecting customers.
Customers too, are primarily not smart consumers.
They judge a thing by its price. The more it costs, the better they believe it to be–Which businesspeople here are regularly taking advantage of.
“The market here is terrible.”
“The customer is stingy.”
To which I always say, a business is meant to be a THOUGHT LEADER. They should innovate and then dictate to the market what to buy and when. Not the other way around.
No matter how poor the customer is, they’ll find a way to buy stuff that improves their lives.
“Yes, but we’ve tried EVERYTHING. We give 70 and 80% discounts on our products, and people STILL don’t buy. Can we be any more tempting?”
Even uneducated consumers can tell a scam by INSTINCT when they see it.
If the product is crap, it doesn’t matter how discounted you make it. There’s little market for overpriced rubbish. And that’s what their products are.
The GARBAGE of Germany, China, and the United States. Stuff that doesn’t even pass quality standards for THEIR markets. CHEAP crap which still happens to pass the Jordan standards.
It’s all imported and the market is saturated with it. Merchants are only interested in 500% – 1000% markup…on CRAP.
When a business gives 80% discounts on their prices, they’re openly admitting they have the MARGINS available on their product’s value that allow them to STILL be profitable with these ridiculous discounts.
They are admitting too, that they have SCAMMED other people with the full price before the discount was available.
And chances are, there is STILL more discounting available.
The same goes online.
When a Gooroo offers crazy discounts on their products…and gives away products of 2,000 and 5,000 dollar value for FREE…
Don’t be fooled.
If they can SERIOUSLY sell the product for that price, they would be SELLING IT. Not giving it away or discounting it without good reason.
And yes, there is a possibility that you can get GOOD product seriously discounted.
But it MUST make sense.
The value of the discount MUST correlate with the value you’re NOT getting.
Like a half-priced product that is…well…half the product! Yes. Good.
