Yesterday, i wrote to tell you about a special project we ran in 2010 with great results.
This year, traffic has been harder to get than ever. Especially for info-product marketers, affiliates, and Home Business distributors. Google and Facebook have both been cracking down, knocking out businesses left and right.
Even permanently banning advertisers from their networks.
So where to from here?
What you might not know is that Bing, the second most popular search engine attracts over 30% of the current search market-share in the US…and is increasingly getting better and taking searchers away from Google! As of 2011, it is the fastest growing search engine of all.
Microsoft merged with Yahoo! search in late 2009 and now includes their searchers too.
Better yet, it is the default search for Internet Explorer which is used on 85% of the world’s computers. Most of which do not change their default search.
They have made strategic partnerships with Facebook and several mobile operating systems too.
What this means for us advertisers?
If you don’t advertise on Bing, you could be missing out on a great audience of searchers.
The best part is, Bing has a much less restrictive policy and ad guidelines for Affiliate marketers and Business Opportunities.
It is cheaper to advertise there than it is on Google.
It is easier, with far less competition.
And by advertising there, you are basically in the same “wild-west” situation many of the multi-millionaire gurus today enjoyed in the old days…when they launched their great success stories they still share.
In fact, i’ve used Microsoft to get hundreds of leads for as little as 30 cents each. Something few dream of on Google!
But there’s a different approach to advertising with Microsoft. If you try to use the same keyword and ad strategy as you did (or would have done) with Google, then you are unlikely to see ANY impressions.
One guy i spoke with recently told me he had great difficulty getting ANY impressions on Microsoft.
But that’s because he assumed it worked the same as Google.
Not the case. I have a flawless method i use with Microsoft to get impressions, clicks, and leads for far cheaper than any search. And people attracted through Microsoft BUY, because they have a lot less options there than with Google.
It is unlikely that a searcher who searches with Microsoft and finds our websites will ever need to click back and try a different advertiser.
