There IS such a thing as too much traffic.

Here’s what I mean…
What’s the maximum speed on your car’s speedometer?
That’s the max speed they build into most “regular” street-driving
cars. And although you have the ability to floor the accelerator at any time
and push the limits of your car…
Most people rarely drive at anything past 60mph or so.
I mean, it’s not hard to floor the accelerator all the way…but
a good driver shifts feet between accelerator and brakes so as to maintain control
on the car.
Unless you’re a moron or a real amateur…you
could keep the accelerator pressed for the entire drive–if you don’t meet with a
wall or a lamp post first.
Anyway, my point is, if you’re an experienced marketer, even
though you know you can get as much web traffic as you want, you don’t exercise
all that power at once.
Just like in the car, knowing when to accelerate and when to slow down the traffic puts you in control.
Buying too much traffic without the sales numbers to justify it could bankrupt you quickly.
