There’s a good chance…
You ran a search today.
We all run tens, if not hundreds of them on any given day.
But have you ever stopped to think about how those results are
“found”?
How does Google decide when to show YOUR website in the
results of other people’s searches. People like your potential customers.
Like you and i, they too must run hundreds of searches of their
own daily.
Humour me for a minute…
We tend to search and get results back so quickly, that we
take for granted the complexity of what actually goes on behind the scenes at
Google. So let’s have a gander shall we?
Say you want to order dinner “in” tonight. Are you in the
mood for something different?
You jump on Google and search:
“Mexican restaurants delivery”. Hit enter and off it goes.
Google immediately begins to comb through BILLLIONS of…
… webpages,
…blogs,
…and all kinds of other listings–
Billlions of pages on every topic under the sun…from computer software,
to people’s personal Twitter feeds, to internet marketing info products…every
kind of page that exists in Google’s infinite archive of internet data.
And it captures JUST the pages about Mexican Restaurants.
LOL. Even then, there are THOUSANDS of results.
It would be useless to us if Google didn’t also sort
results into a logical, “relevant” order.
And as if Google’s job isn’t hard enough…it now has to use
some voodoo psychic powers to fill in the blanks about what you DIDN’T say in
your search.
For instance, it has to assume you prefer restaurants
located geographically closer to you…Otherwise you might see restaurants IN Mexico
up top … Which would be kind of dumb if you live in Pasadena!
Once sorted, the results are formatted, and displayed in the
familiar Google results screen we all know and love.
All this magic is done in the blink of an eye!
So thank god you’re not running a Mexican Restaurant in
Pasadena (or are you?)
Here’s the thing though…
It’s tough for any website to get to the top of search
results in any market.
There’s thousands of competing “Mexican Restaurants” who are
just as relevant and want just as badly to be seen as you.
How do you get seen without being a top result in your market?
It’s easy.
Google lets businesses like you post ads for YOUR website and have them
show…
ABOVE or NEXT TO relevant search results!
Meaning, you get seen on the front-page, even if your
website is NOT the top listing. Or the most related.
Pretty sweet!
But how?
It works like this:
First, you enter words relevant to your product or services
with a basic ad. Submit to Google.
Google starts to show your ad whenever someone searches for
the words you entered or topics related to them.
Next time a prospective customer comes looking…
They search. They find your business. They click.
VOILA. Instant Traffic.
But hey, advertising on Google costs money. And if you don’t
know what you’re doing, you could lose THOUSANDS overnight, without a single
paying customer to show for it.
Getting traffic is straightforward. But getting BUYERS, CUSTOMERS, and
CLIENTS…That needs a special technique.
My Traffic KickStart training shows you the easiest way to advertise
on Google–and get MAXIMUM visibility with MINIMAL cost.
It helps you get good, targeted traffic, tailored to your
exact specifications…and most importantly, it teaches you to get traffic that
BUYS YOUR PRODUCTS.
Best part is, there’s no “minimum budget”. You can advertise for a
$5 …or any other price… that’s comfortable for you and it still
works.
