Hey–are you trying to sell retail products online?
It’s a LITTLE funny that I got told-off by some subscribers who
think I have lots of traffic advice for info-products…not so
much for retail products.
Because the rules of traffic generation (which is really marketing
and advertising) don’t change based on the kind of product you sell.
You watch Television commercials for every kind of product and
It’s always the same.
A story, anecdote, or skit…
Followed by a bunch of product benefits…
And ending with a call to action telling you where to get
the product or find out more.
Doesn’t matter if the product is something you buy once a
year or once in a lifetime.
Doesn’t matter if it’s the new burger at McDonalds or the
insurance policy with Progressive.
The rules for advertising anything are the same.
Get people’s attention, interest them in YOUR solution to some
problem they MIGHT have…and then tell them how to get it.
Online, offline…the rules don’t change.
I mean, how else do you think we were able to run all kinds
of ad campaigns for clients in all sorts of niches?
We’ve used the SAME SINGLE technique…
…to get website traffic for
flying schools, martial arts dojos, and limousine companies.
We’ve used the same technique to get traffic to blogs, youtube
videos, and corporate websites.
We’ve promoted retail products, services, fund-raisers,
events, and even personal services.
One technique. It worked for hundreds of different markets.
We didn’t have to learn a new method every time we signed a new client.
See what you have to understand is that anything people search for online, if you want to get
them to your site…
All you need is to show them a SHORT text-based ad, relevant
to their problem…
…And you will have traffic.
All the traffic you want.
The rest is a matter of a personal decision YOU make on how
you want to sell to them once you get them at your site.
It’s up to you if you want to send people to your ecommerce store
with a brief description of your product, a price, and an order button…
…Or if you want to have a more elaborate sales process and
include some kind of follow-up.
But at the core of everything…
Is the technique that brings traffic.
If you’re advertising to the right people, then whatever you
say to them, as long as you have a solution to their problem…they’ll come to
you and they’ll buy.
But it’s easier said than done.
