Driving Traffic – for Volume and profit

Would you believe me if I told you…
There IS such a thing as too much traffic.
…and even when it is qualified, targeted traffic…
…and you have a huge advertising budget…
…and you know how to get more traffic any time you want…
…would you believe me if I told you that getting
more traffic is often the WORST business decision a person can make?
Seems like a ridiculous thing to say. Especially when the
internet’s collective cry is:
“We need MORE traffic”…
But tat cry is a dead giveaway–a sign of an amateur marketer.
Here’s what I mean…
What’s the maximum speed on your car’s speedometer?
130mph (220km/hr)?
That’s the max speed they build into most “regular” street-driving
cars. And although you have the ability to floor the accelerator at any time
and push the limits of your car…
Most people rarely drive at anything past 60mph or so.
Why?
I mean, it’s not hard to floor the accelerator all the way…but
a good driver shifts feet between accelerator and brakes so as to maintain control
on the car.
Unless you’re a moron or a real amateur…you
could keep the accelerator pressed for the entire drive–if you don’t meet with a
wall or a lamp post first.
Anyway, my point is, if you’re an experienced marketer, even
though you know you can get as much web traffic as you want, you don’t exercise
all that power at once.
Just like in the car, knowing when to accelerate and when to slow down the traffic puts you in control.
Buying too much traffic without the sales numbers to justify it could bankrupt you quickly.
It’s why I don’t focus much on Traffic Kickstart’s ability to produce VOLUME of traffic.
KickStart can get unlimited traffic. If you need it, it’s
there.
But an experienced marketer wants traffic volume to be kept
under control, at a volume he can convert…while he works on other parts of the business.
More specifically, they care about things like:
Return on investment…
Conversion…
Sales…
Upsells…
Average customer value…
Retention rates…
Profit margins.
These are business numbers. Not web stats.
Experienced people want to ensure that when traffic volume
increases, their revenue numbers increase too.
Which is why, although it was more than 7 years ago when I first
generated over 9 million ad views a month for my first traffic client…I didn’t
even begin to learn to control the business numbers until 2 years later
when I was generating traffic for my own business.
And I didn’t really figure out how to make anything consistent
until I discovered my follow-up sales formula, years after that.
Today, when people call me a “traffic guy”, I accept the
label. But it’s a mistake to think a “traffic guy” is just responsible for
traffic. He takes care of the entire sales process from “hello” to “thank you,
come again…and again”.
The KickStart method can bring you unlimited traffic volume.
And you can start using it with just $5. (as many others who’ve had remarkable success with it did)
But more importantly, KickStart allows you to control the numbers that make money.
And my sales formula that turns your traffic into bigger profit…it’s
included as a tutorial for free inside. Use it as often as you need to sell to your traffic over and over again.
