We got into a debate the other day…
About the main thing you need for success in business.
’twas my uncle and i, in a conversation that went late into
the night. He was of the opinion that passion, creativity, hard work, and vision
are all necessary.
There’s plenty of people who have passion for their idea, but
passion is not financially motivated. Their reward is in the process…not the sales.
Similarly, vision is great to have, but plenty of people
with grand visions lack the testicular fortitude to stick to their vision and
see it through.
Hard work is also necessary, but plenty of people work hard
at things that have no financial pay off.
Creativity is important, but most people who fail at
business are really smart and creative people.
In fact, from experience, creativity is the BIGGEST business
Creative people have a tendency to do something for a minute
and then leave it for their next, much more exciting, new idea.
Take me for instance…
Years ago, I created what would have been one of the very
first Instant Messengers.
At the time, I didn’t call it an “Instant Messenger”. Mine
was called a “chat desktop client”. Because it provided an interface into a
web-chat website I created and ran.
I was barely 16 at the time.
Now, we’ve all heard of AOL, MSN, Yahoo, and ICQ’s Instant
Messengers…even though they’re mostly dead.
But why hasn’t anyone heard of MINE?
Because I didn’t PERSIST.
The entire business was started and sold in a matter of SIX MONTHS….Barely any time to gain recognition and a large customer-base for my very creative
innovation. I was onto the next project…
Mark Zuckerberg had a somewhat creative idea when he came up
with Facebook…i mean, there were other social network that had more to offer…
But had he stopped working on Facebook while it was still a
Harvard thing…no one would’ve ever heard of it.
You, having a successful web business should be no different.
The main thing you need is PERSISTENCE.
Even the lamest, most boring, most common business
proposition will still succeed if you persist forever.
Creativity, vision, and passion
will all follow.
But you can’t come up with 50 creative ideas that you try once and expect any kind of worldwide recognition.
On the other hand, if you find a formula that works and
repeat it 1000 times…you’ll have yourself a business.
And that’s why my Traffic KickStart training is so perfect
for people starting a new website.
It helps you get the consistency of traffic, even if all you
have is a small $5/day advertising budget…which ENABLES persistence.
As long as the traffic is flowing (which it will with KickStart), you keep repeating your selling method…over
and over and over to infinity.
Traffic flows. You sell. Keep a bit of money for
yourself, and re-invest a little more into new traffic.
Buy more traffic. Sell. Take MORE money for yourself and
buy even more traffic.
I mean, creativity, vision, and hard work don’t have much of
a place in this formula.
Let’s leave that crap to the academics and the creatives that people like us HIRE.
Learn Traffic KicKStart now. It takes 90 minutes to learn, 10 mins to setup…and traffic flows. Get KickStart here:
That’s all I got for today.
