A frustrated affiliate marketer asks:
“I want to advertise ____ & ___ [2 popular marketing systems]. My question: What’s the best way to advertise on adwords since it’s like google doesn’t appreciate any MLM or network marketing offers. [Should i:]
“1. Have a bridge page with unique content and send traffic there
“2. Buy a domain and setup a redirect to their squeeze pages?”
Hmm…Good question. Let’s try to tackle it.
First off, please if you’re an affiliate, don’t try either of those solutions with Adwords. You will get your account suspended! Google is VERY clear about this policy.
Any practice that merely tries to pass traffic from the web address being advertised, onto a different website is against the rules.
So don’t do it.
Don’t try to do it with domain masking, cloaking, redirects, or any other tricks.
Don’t try to advertise a 1-page-website that collects leads and then sends people to your affiliate link.
In fact, don’t advertise a 1-page-website at all.
Here’s the thing…
Smarter people than you, have tried for far longer, EVERY trick in the book to get the best of both worlds; on one hand desperate for Google’s amaaaazing traffic… but on the other, unwilling to abide by the Google Editorial Guidelines.
The solution is still relatively simple. Here’s what i would do:
I’d find an audience that I resonate with and list out some of their problems and pains.
Get a basic WordPress site. Use the DEFAULT theme even.
Then I’d blog every day, tackling one problem/pain per post. Half a page of writing is all you need.
Discuss a solution and make a recommendation. Then end all posts with a call to action with your affiliate link.
That’s the website part done.
Create a simple “Subscribe to Newsletter” page at
your site and leave the full navigation in. (You don’t HAVE to leave navigation in…but it’s one less thing you’d need to fiddle with.)
Then use my Traffic KickStart method and advertise your BLOG’S NEWSLETTER.
MILK Google for all the traffic it can get.
Would that work?
The Traffic KickStart tutorial was demonstrated on a website built EXACTLY how I just described.
The whole site was up and running in under 15 minutes.
When you write a blog or a newsletter, then you’ve just become a “value-added” affiliate. And Google LIKES that kind of affiliate – Their ads run all day long on Adwords right now.
People who subscribe, will be returning to YOUR website.
They want to hear from YOU. You’re not just funneling them over to another site as if you’re some needless transit point!
And Traffic KickStart is EASY to setup.
Its results are quick.
Traffic flows targeted and cheap.
It works with tiny ad budgets, as little as $10.
And you can learn it all over here:
BUT HEY, I must warn you…
If your affiliate program is a blatant “get r$ch quick” system, not even MY method will let you advertise ANYWHERE safely.
Sadly many Marketing Systems prey on people’s desperation. And even if they do have a good range of products, they’re cheating their existing members by not toning down the claims and not making their advertising compliant with Google’s standards.
If you really want to use KickStart with your marketing system, write to your system owners and tell them you want…
NO MONEY CLAIMS …sales material to use!
Get a group together and get on their case until they comply. Take your business elsewhere if they aren’t willing to give you what you need.
As long as THEY don’t care about Google, their affiliates (like you) will always struggle for traffic and you will always have a hard time earning commissions wit them.
They’ll only change if you tell them it’s NOT an option for them to have no Google-Safe marketing materials.
