This is funny. A warrior on the warriorforum started the
following discussion thread:
The 2 choice option on landing pages are showing up now.
Big prominent choice is to sign up, or failing that is go
into site which tells of how much info is inside.
Here’s what I mean.
An argument ensued between warriors on how well
these pages are converting and whether or not giving the choice to skip the
optin was a good idea or not.
Soon after, several craigslist ads appeared online linking
to these pages looking for someone to help them build landing pages that look
like these. The average rate offered was $500!
Why is this funny?
Because it was ME who created that design. I did it as a
favour to Ben first. It took about 30 minutes to edit the photo and write the
Dan later paid a fair chunk of change to have someone on craigslist design his version
based on the one I did for Ben.
Had he asked me, he would have had the same effect without looking like a replica. No two of my pages look the same.
Why is this kind of landing page becoming so popular?
Because it works.
Ben saw an increase of about 400% in
conversion. That’s why he continues to use that design.
And why we’ve been charging over $800 to build variations of that page style for
Here’s the thing though…
These pages are made up of three files. The first is just an
image that I cut out from its background in photoshop. This is probably the most
tedious part of the process.
The second is an HTML file which outlines the basic
structure of the page. It defines the headline, the body copy, the optin box,
the links…and it determines the text.
The third is a CSS file which contains the style,
formatting, and general appearance of the document structure.
What most people don’t realize is that the CSS file is
basically a template. You write it one time. After that, you can create several
pages that use the same template over and over.
As a result, we only design the style once. Then we can whip up a
new landing page for a different client in minutes by replacing the image and modifying the text in
the HTML file.
This is a short-cut that most web programmers use to leverage their
time while charging hundreds (sometimes thousands) of dollars for each client.
Dan, who doesn’t know HTML and didn’t ask me to take care of
his landing page ended up paying someone heavily for work that took a relative
HTML newbie minutes to do. That guy’s image work was careless too.
Ben, who doesn’t know HTML is no better off. He has to ask me to make
changes on his behalf, every time he wants to update the image, design, or
headline on his page. Which wastes time he could be making me money while he waits for me to get around to it.
No biggie though.
I exchange favours with Ben and Dan regularly. They help me
with selling strategy and I help them with code. We save thousands by exchanging
skills. even though i think it’s not fair on them since what i do is so easy…
But if you don’t have a web programmer owing you a favour,
who will you turn to when you need a new landing page?
Either you can spend thousands for stuff that makes someone else a gob of money EASY.
Or you can learn to do it YOURSELF!
This is why you need to be on the HTML Webinar. It’s only TWO
(2) days away now.
I’ll be demonstrating how i build one of these high converting landing pages that
have cost others a total of 50,000 dollars in outsourcing fees to YL this past year. I’ll
do it LIVE with beginner-level instruction and show you how to work with the
images, create the HTML structure file, and design the CSS template which
you can use over and over with other pages. It’s easier than you can imagine.
And I’m teaching it, honestly, far too cheap at $97.
I SHOULD be charging at least $1,000 per student for this training. And trust
me, I have considered it more than once. But the decision to make the admission
fee so low was not an indication of “little value”.
It was merely about consistency because this is what I charged
for the last 90 minute webinar.
Plus I hoped to teach MORE of you. Especially since
we’re no longer offering landing page development as a service to the public. As
of the last few months, we’re only building our high converting landing pages
for people already customers of our training products.
The value is HUGE and i’m likely to scrap the idea of “consistent pricing” in future webinars anyway.
So you’ll NEVER be able to get one of our proprietary high
converting landing pages this cheap. Ever.
Enough pissing around. “Man” up and enroll today here:
