The last time I saw him, he was a scrawny little guy.
Last week, he was a hairy bearded man with a deep voice and a
strange charisma. But you could never tell. We spoke as equals. No one would
even know that he was once just my friend’s “lil bro”.
He would board a plane the next morning. He was off to start
a new life in Melbourne where he just landed a sales position in the “exciting”
industry of Insurance Brokering.
Conversation turned to the broken world economy.
I asked, “What do you think is the reason for the troubles
we’re seeing today?”
“Technology,” he replied. “People can’t find high-paying
work anymore because their education and experience is becoming obsolete very
rapidly. And our education system hasn’t been updated to create the talent the
market needs today.”
I couldn’t have been prouder. Because that’s my theory to
Technology is advancing at such an alarming rate that
businesses can barely keep up. Today, in all professions, businesses need
people who are competent with computing skills – they have to learn to use
industry specific software, people are being replaced with machines. And we
need people who can operate them.
Did you know that over 1 milllion of the USA’s best and
highest paying jobs are going unfilled by Americans?
It’s not just America either.
Everywhere in the world, businesses are turning to India and
China to outsource “programming”. With a combined 2.5 billlion people, they’re
the only countries able to produce the volume of technical talent needed for
business to prosper in these technological times.
Technology companies are among the only businesses growing
in these difficult times of mass lay-offs and redundancy.
Companies like Facebook and Google are doing everything to attract,
import, and hold onto the top software engineers. They offer lucrative
salaries, attractive benefit packages, and DREAM work environments to their
employees who have become an indispensable asset.
Where do you fit in with this new unfamiliar economy?
I’m talking about you, the solo entrepreneur trying to make
a living on the web.
If you can’t at least do some basic technical tasks necessary
for the day-to-day operation of your business, you’re either going to have to start
hiring and competing with the big dawgs for talent…
…or if you need your limited (and quickly shrinking) funds
for other things in your business like paying for traffic and hosting, then you
need to BECOME your best programming talent!
The 90 Minute HTML tutorial I emailed you about last night
is an easy way to get introduced to the most important technical skill a
web-based business needs EVERY DAY. That’s the skill of reading and writing
Keep in mind…
Learning HTML isn’t going to get you your dream job. But it
will give you independence. You need every time you format and
post ANY kind of content – be it an email, a sales page, a landing page, or a
If you’re like me, you email several times a week to maintain maximum profit.
make sense to limit how your emails look or to feel like a helpless child almost every day for a
Or if you sell a new product every month (which is one of
the fastest ways to get a ROI on your traffic), does it make sense to have to
pay a programmer $5,000 just to setup your sales funnel?
Or if you want to run frequent landing page experiments to
make better use of your traffic and increase conversions…does it make sense to
keep losing traffic for a week every time you need a new landing page to test?
On Wednesday, I’ll show you how to write the basic HTML
needed to format emails (even “text only” emails need a little HTML to make
them look right and sell big!)
And you’ll get a free video demo of the exact steps of
coding and setting up a launch in a single hour…you can do this every month and collect a few thousand bucks at a time!
Also, you’ll see me build a landing page from a graphics
file LIVE with commentary in 90 Minutes flat.
I’ve deliberately included all the technical skills you need every day! Because i think YOU and EVERYONE else should join.
Now that’s a valuable skill EVERYONE with a web business
needs to learn. Sooner rather than later!!
