something that’s been weighing on me lately is that most of you dont REALLY want to learn.
look, adults are extremely hard to teach, particularly when the learning is voluntary. The fact that learning is VOLUNTARY presents a number of difficulties that aren’t faced with kids.
the trouble for me is that i’m very passionate about my subject matter and i set out to genuinely inform and serve my students…and somehow, no matter what i try they always manage to turn it negative.
here’s what i mean…
kids don’t want to learn. but they have to.
adults, on the other hand, don’t NEED to learn marketing, yet they want to.
but despite how much kids dont want to learn, they actually are extremely teachable and they come out of school with quite a lot of life skills and knowledge.
you’d think adults would learn quicker. yet i bet i could teach kids how to make money before ONE of my subscribers even got a website up.
the difference is that children go into class with the understanding that the teacher holds onto ALL knowledge. they’re not arrogant and they TRUST the teaching is correct, even if it’s not always the case.
on the other hand, adult students are CONSTANTLY challenging the teacher with some other teaching or ideal of their own.
they’re always questioning the correctness of the information being imparted. meanwhile, they rarely bother to act on any of the information and so they NEVER learn.
They could, of course, still challenge the teacher if they would test something the teacher taught them that didn’t work, and they come and say, “Hey, i tried this but it didn’t work like you said. what am i doing wrong?”
Instead, they try to LECTURE the teacher!
like i’ll send out an educational email …and someone always has to write back with some kind of critique of something dumb like the example i gave was politically incorrect…or the spelling was wrong for some word…or they think something i said would offend some of my other subscribers.
this baffles me!
i mean, you’re on MY list…and i’m not on yours.
The fact that you’re just on here as a critic whose job is to challenge the teaching method is what keeps you my student, subscriber, and customer. Not the other way around.
You’ve flunked this class like 50 times this year, and you have the nerve to criticise? Lol!
if what i’m doing wasn’t working and your ideas were the ones that worked, then our roles would be reversed. i’d be the one trying to learn from you.
and what’s more hilarious is this…
if i were to take your suggestions instead of you taking mine, i would have YOUR result. ZERO DOLLARS AND ZERO CENTS.
It’s the reason you’re still and always will remain in this unfortunate position of being the student who hasn’t learned how to do it yet.
it’s not about whether the information is correct or not. it’s about you trusting the teacher. Try it first then come at me with a challenge.
but hey, it’s more comfortable to criticize from a distance.
kids don’t do this. they take action because they have to and as a result they learn, even if by force.
look, at the end of the day, it SHOULDN’T bother me if you don’t learn what i teach.
i mean, it keeps you subscribed to my marketing and it keeps you buying my training and services. if you’d learn, you wouldn’t need to be exposed to any of my marketing and you wouldn’t need to keep buying training from me or anyone else.
but i DO care, that’s the problem.
there’s enough new people starting out online to keep growing my market share indefinitely while graduating people who don’t need me any more. i would LOVE this.
anyway, that’s just some random thoughts i’ve been sitting on. hopefully they make sense and you try change. Pretend you’re a child student for a few weeks. that’s all it takes…just one good training course like the Internet Business Academy where you implement the ideas without challenging them and see for yourself the result.
if it works, (and it will) that’s less than $20 and a week or two invested so you can graduate online marketing forever.

marketing isn’t that hard. people with no experience at all in business are making money, why aren’t you?
i just reviewed a 4 min audio from one of the chapters in the Internet Business Academy and found so many gems in it. this was from Chapter 4 about websites.
these 4 mins alone eliminate website creation all together AND give you the advantage of getting instant free traffic by setting up business where the traffic lives instead of in some vacuum like most marketers.

And this time, try to graduate lol.
