Hey what’s up.
Today i got wrapped up in a couple of articles about billionaires on Forbes.
According to a research company who interviewed several billionaires, one of three things most “in common” between billionaires was that they “marry well”.
Sounds funny, doesn’t it?
It actually came up several times in different articles…
Got me thinking…
When I was a kiddo, a friend of my father’s who knew of my aspirations to own a successful technology company, gave me the following advice:
“If you want to have success in business, don’t marry until you’ve reached your goal. Marriage makes you grow roots, like an old tree. Get in business. Succeed. Marry. In that order,” he said.
Lived by that advice for years.
Great thing about being a bachelor entrepreneur is you don’t have anyone to be responsible for but yourself. You can take bigger risks, be fearless, and even if life smacks you a big round-house kick about the head, and you lose everything…
You can live off very little and tolerate a great deal of difficulty as a single adult.
You can “room” with others to save on rent and bills; you could “crash” on a buddy’s couch; you could move in with your parents if they’ll give you the basement.
You can live off noodles and use your feet to get to places for a change.
You can pack up and leave, go somewhere cheaper or full of new opportunities and adventure.
But as soon as you get married, you have to be “responsible” and invest safely and take very calculated risks. You have to stay where you are; the kids have friends here; the wife wants to be near her family; the husband has his job.
You gotta be a grown up and take loans and mortgages and live beyond your means.
And if you screw up, you have a lot more to lose than the clothes on your back.
I’ve met too many struggling entrepreneurs whose spouse was constantly nagging them to go get a “real job”. People who’ve had their hearts ripped out and trampled on by the closest and dearest who told them they’re wasting their lives and chasing a dream.
I’ve seen too many entrepreneurs getting divorced because they stopped being able to provide like they once did.
Proud, educated men who feel castrated because their wife or girlfriend now supports them from a measly wage, working long shifts at the local supermarket or smiling for tips as a waitress.
It’s enough to scare ANY hopeful entrepreneur back into the “reality” of a “real job”.
So I put off getting married for a LONG time.
Besides, I figured if I married, I’d need to find a woman who was so perfect she was non-existent. One who would be ok with my insane competitive drive. One who wouldn’t care that I’m a workaholic and that I might go for weeks distracted and engrossed in a project, sleepless, to the point I might not even look UP at her once.
GOOD LUCK – sounds more like a roommate situation than a relationship.
So I never bothered to look.
Put family life on hold.
Was still super jealous of ex-school-chums who didn’t have much in the way of career but were already up to their 3rd kid; and their children already in school.
I remained ALONE for years, uninterested in women…all to ensure I would have a real chance at my goals.
The bachelor-life may have merits for the hopeful entrepreneur…
But it’s a lonely life.
So I eventually gave in and prioritized “family”. Met the girl of my dreams and got married last year.
But I digress; let’s get back to this “marrying well” thang…
When I first read “marry well”, I thought the jokester writing the article was telling me that I should marry a rich man’s daughter!
Figured it was too late for me; already got a wife.
But that’s not what they meant.
One of the BIGGEST secrets of billionaires is that they marry a good partner.
The kind who supports them, struggles with them, and is willing to go through all the inconveniences and sacrifices necessary to see your goals realised.
And even though you might have a lovely husband or wife, who has stood by you so far…
You might be on the final straw with your family.
A person can only take so much.
I’d hate for this entrepreneur thing to ruin your family life in the process.
Family is important. Success is important. Both have to co-exist.
In my new Super Affiliate training program, which is a TRAFFIC and CONVERSION education… I decided to add an extra “marriage” tip:
It’s a secret for how to communicate with your spouse so he/she gets on board with your dreams, helps you and supports you, and stands WITH you ready to do battle against the challenges of the world.
It’s my technique.
I’ve used it with my own wife and it was magical.
Of course I don’t guarantee it will SAVE everyone’s marriage–you might just have the wrong husband or wife and nothing I tell you can help.
But hey …
just like you, I struggled to make my wife understand what I do, why I’m doing it, and why she has to sacrifice so much and suffer for so long. Heck, I moved her out from the city she lived in all her life to a whole other country, far from her family and life-long friends, and started over with her!
Here’s how …
One evening, I sat her down for 30 minutes and showed her a document I made…and just like that, she got on board. Ever since…she never breathed a complaint or a challenge for what I do.
She’ll happily sit beside me for hours while I work. We won’t exchange a single word…
She brings me what I need.
She ensures I’m comfortable.
And she bears all my difficult personality traits.
Of course i’m good to her too. But i’ve always been good to her. Now is different.
She’s smiling more. She seems happier than I’ve ever seen her.
Just like that, I married well.
I want to share with you what I did, so you too can get the peace of mind you need to be creative and productive and reach your goals…
So you can make your family a source of strength instead of weakness.
So you can get your family’s cooperation instead of face them as opponents.
This isn’t a personal development course or anything like that – it’s an advanced traffic and conversion training program for Home Business entrepreneurs.
But I know how important a comfortable work environment is to MY productivity, so I decided to include this information to help you with yours.
