How to Use Social Media in Network Marketing

The choice is yours whether you want to use social media in network marketing or not. There is one thing you should always remember though before you make the decision and that is the fact that social media sites have taken the internet by storm during the last few years. They are among the most visited and most influential web entities nowadays. Facebook alone now has over 750 million registered members. That is something and it relays the message of how much power these social media sites have. No one in the history of the internet has amassed the numbers that Facebook have today. Furthermore, as the current trends show, social sites have nowhere else to go but up. In the coming months and years, they will only get bigger and better. It pays to mention therefore that whatever decision you make, it better be a resounding “yes” to using social media in your network marketing endeavors.

Here are some tips on how you can use social media in network marketing. These tips will help you maximize the results you get from all your efforts.

Pick just a few social media sites and focus your time and attention to them. There are numerous social media sites out there. You can not use all of them. That’s a fact. Unless of course if you plan to outsource some of your social media marketing strategies to experienced individuals or firms. However, of you are on your own, it’s best that you choose just a few so you can devote enough time to them in order for them to provide you with any results. The key to success in social media marketing is participation and being active. How can you be deemed active in a social media site if you login too sparingly due to the fact that you are using a plethora of other social media sites.

Honesty is the best policy. Whatever you say or do in the social sites you are a member of, don’t ever lie to anybody. A single lie can ruin your network marketing business and everything you did to build it. If there is one thing you should understand about social sites, it’s the fact that it’s very easy for something to get shared over and over again prompting that something to go viral. A lie you made can go viral and when this happens, a lot of your existing and prospective customers will be pissed of. You don’t want this to happen so DON’T ever lie.

Participate, participate, and participate some more. This after all is the goal of social media – to get people to connect and converse with each other. The more people you talk to, the more contacts you make, and the more you remain active, the better.

If you really want to increase your business’ exposure online, using social media in network marketing shouldn’t be an option at all. It should be a requirement because it is absolutely necessary. Not using social media will not only make you lose opportunities, it’ll allow your competitors to gain advantages over you as well.
