You know what makes me laugh is all these dumbasses in forums asking the question:
“Which is better? Free or paid traffic?”
And then the bigger idiots who respond with crap like:
“If you are new, do free traffic first, and do paid later.”
“Free traffic is better because it gets long term results.”
“Paid traffic is best because it’s a lot easier and gives immediate results.”
HAHA. So obvious, these people will spend the next 10 years calling themselves beginners.
I want to tell you a short story.
Last night I was checking out some videos on YouTube about creating iPhone apps. I noticed a video titled, 16 year old millionaire.
So I watched it. The story was about a young boy who started at 14 years old with an online business that sold Apple software in bundles normally worth several hundred dollars … for under $100!
As a value-added affiliate. He negotiated deals with Apple software developers, and offered them through his website.
When asked about his “secret to success”, he said:
“business requires hard work and dedication.”
Nothing about which traffic method to use. A 16 year old boy, ladies and gentlemen did what you’ve been trying to do for the past I don’t know how long.
And his secret was NEITHER paid or free traffic.
Just a great value product. What’s more, he created the value by simply negotiating a better deal for his customers.
That’s why I laugh at all these stupid free vs paid traffic debates.
If you’re new, start by identifying ONE product you sell. Sell NOTHING ELSE~!
Understand what problems your product really solves and then spend time worrying about conversions. Traffic is simply a way to get your product in front of an audience. If you don’t know wtf your product is, nobody else will. All the traffic in the world will be pointless.
In my opinion, most websites i see are scattered, evasive, pieces of garbage. MSN and Google agree with me 🙂
All traffic is good when you have a good product. With a good product, every kind of traffic gives long-term results, regardless.
